Map Collection
This project combines research from multiple sources to create a more comprehensive dataset about hiding. Important sources include the USC SHOAH Foundation visual history archive & questionnaires, Dutch municipal archives, Joods Amsterdam archive, Joods monument, Bas Arolsen archives, local Dutch and international historians, Camp Westerbork archive, and family and community archives.
Data Maps
MHP is building a collection of aggregate maps which document the addresses used by Jews in hiding during the Holocaust. By selecting a dot on the map, more information is provided about the person in hiding and their family histories.
Storymaps
MHP’s Storymaps initiative documents life histories by using a digital map to identify the locations where the most important events occurred. The narratives constructed for the storymaps primarily draw from oral histories housed at the USC SHOAH Foundation.
