At the Mapping Hiding Places project, we discover and learn from the stories of hiding during the Second World War. We put the gained insights on maps and form narratives to serve as research and educational resources.
We adhere to three main principles:
- Thorough and precise research
- Respecting privacy and ethical norms
- Openness of our findings
We aim to approach our data from the standpoints of critical cartography, historically accurate storytelling and education.
Mapping Hiding Places aims to discover all the hiding stories that are feasible to uncover across Europe.
